My Takeaways From the 2017 Intacct Partners Conference: An Interview with Frank Therrien

Recently, ADS President, Frank Therrien traveled to Dallas for the Intacct Partners Conference. Here’s what he had to say:

Q: What major takeaways did you gather from this conference?
A: To me, the overlying theme was an increased commitment to do more to help our customers realize the full benefits of Intacct through improved insights to help them drive future growth and success. One of the reasons I look forward to attending these conferences is because Intacct is so passionate about their partners, it allows us to walk away with tons of benefits for our customers.

Q: Who was the best speaker you heard from?

A: It had to be John Barrows (https://jbarrows.com/). His 12 Guiding Principles for successful sales were spot on. One that stuck with me was “Be Open and Honest” which is a guiding principle here at ADS.

Q: What makes Intacct the right choice?

A: That’s simple. Intacct is built for finance and provides sharper insight for organizations. The big trend, now more than ever, is that sharper insight. To have that at your fingertips, like you would with Intacct, is a large component to driving organizational growth and success.

Q: Intact’s market presence is growing rapidly. Do you see Intacct making any changes in the short or long-term?

Intacct will continue to target new industries with the right tools and functionality. For example, they’ve recently expanded their already strong offering for the software/SaaS industry with updated revenue recognition functionality. This was based on the new FASB Revenue Recognition Standard and Intacct will soon be doubling down in Wholesale Distribution in a similar way.

Q: Did you get the chance to explore Dallas?

A: I planned on heading to AT&T Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys play, to take a selfie in front of the stadium wearing my Redskins hat. Next Time!
