MICROSOFT AZURE

Microsoft-Azure220-300x108Azure is Microsoft’s cloud platform that has been winning the praise of industry experts, end users, and everyone in between. Because of its support for hybrid systems, Azure is an ideal solution for organizations who want to start transitioning to the cloud but who aren’t ready to move everything all at once.

With Azure, you can provision Windows and Linux virtual machines quickly and easily – and with the same tools you would use with on-premise servers. Azure also provides managed SQL and NoSQL data services, and supports any operating system, language, tool, or framework.

In a Gartner’s 2014 Magic Quadrant report, analysts gave high marks to Azure for both its infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) capabilities. Of all the vendors ranked in the report, only two received the coveted title of Leader in the Cloud IaaS space – Microsoft and Amazon Web Services.

OFFICE 365 BUSINESS & ENTERPRISE EDITIONS

product-411-300x103Microsoft offers a number of different Business and Enterprise Plans for Office 365, and they’re all very reasonably priced. In fact, if you’re currently purchasing licenses for the desktop version of MS Office for your employees, chances are that you could save money and get more value by switching over to Office 365.

Depending on which plan you choose, your Office 365 subscription may include the following components:

Desktop versions of MS Office – All Office 365 plan options except for Business Essentials and Enterprise E1 include a full desktop version of the Microsoft Office suite. For plans that fall under the business grouping, this includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, and OneNote. Enterprise plans include Access as well.

As a nice bonus, each user can install the MS Office suite on up to 5 PCs or Macs. So, your employees can install the software on their laptops and home computers as well as their main work computer without needing to purchase an additional license.

File storage and sharing – Each user account comes with 1 TB of online storage that can be used for Office documents – or anything else, for that matter. Flexible sharing and privacy options give users complete control over who can view and edit their files.

Business class email – Access your emails, calendars, and contact information from any web-enabled device, and sync across all of your devices in real time.

Online meetings – Conduct an unlimited number of online meetings with options for one-click screen sharing and video conferencing.

Intranet site for your team – Keep your organization’s private materials restricted to your internal team with customizable security settings.
